Zabriskie Solo Exhibition at Axe Néo 7 Centre in Hull_Galleries 1 & 2_ Québec, Canada. November 4th -16th of December 2015. 

Zabriskie is the reflection of an engagement towards sculpture, it seizes an attraction for ambiguity, absence, loss, a view, a raw emotion submerged in the everyday, to time. This production reflects a state allowed into being, inhabited by precariousness, the irrational, trying to express a hesitation, an intuition... This exhibition presented in Galleries 1 & 2 at Centre AXENÉO7 brings together parts, pieces, surfaces, absorbent blacks that embody physical commitment.

Zabriskie, the exhibition document, produced in collaboration with Dastudio, intersects a world where the image focuses on the familiarity of the workshop, the portrait of objects, the places, the sculpture seeking to transmit that information of materiality, like a proximity, a type of poetic propaganda, a journey that shows the roots of my thinking. The photographs used in this printed document were produced by Dastudio and are edited and signed on archival paper. The artist wishes to thank Louise deLorme for her collaboration with the Zabriskie project.

Michel Archambault is a sculptor, curator and designer. His sculptural work explores sound art, painting and photography. His work has been generously supported by The Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation (New York, 2006) and The Pollock-Krasner Foundation (New York, 2005), Le Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and the Canada Council for the Arts, and is included in many public and private collections.
